Obituary:
EARL HYDE MILLPORT, Pa. - Earl Hyde, 73, of Star Route, Eleven Mile Road, died Sunday (Jan. 21, 1979) at the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport, after a lengthy illness.

Born Sept. 22, 1905, in Millport, he was a son of Frank and Cora Moddock Hyde. In 1929 he married the former Margaret Dunshie, who survives.

Mr. Hyde was a dairy farmer on the Eleven Mile Road for many years, and was later employed by the Pennsylvania State Game Commission for 25 years, retiring in 1970.

Surviving besides his widow, are four daughters, Mrs. R. Lee (Barbara) VanPelt of RD 2, Coudersport, Mrs. Edwin (Virginia) Sturdevant of Millport, Mrs. James (Patricia) Todd of Portville, N. Y., and Mrs. John (Frances) Stilson of Shinglehouse; two sons, Donald Hyde and Douglas Hyde, both of Millport; 18 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Ruby) VanBuren of Millport; a brother, Clarence Hyde of Allentown, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Wednesday (Jan. 24, 1979) at 2 p.m. The Rev. Melvin Hedegor, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Chrystal will officiate assisted by David Kemp. Burial will be in Chrystal Cemetery, Chrystal, Pa.

If desired the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to United Methodist Church Building Fund of Chrystal.
