EARL D. STONEMETZ
RICHBURG Earl D. - Stonemetz of Broad St., died Sunday (March Administration Hospital, Batavia, following a long illness.
Born March 9, 1919, in Shinglehouse, Pa., he was a son of Ellery and Lottie Sturdavent Stonemetz. On Feb. 24, 1956, he married the former Rebecca Terrette, who died in 1975.
A resident of the Richburg area since 1946, he was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army Air Corps in India and Germany.
Mr. Stonemetz had been employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 463 Niagara Falls. He was a member of Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion of Bolivar.
Surviving are his mother of Shinglehouse; two sons, Ronald Stonemetz of Bolivar and Earl Stonemetz Jr. of Wellsville; three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Norma) Dennie of Shortsville, Mrs. Donald (Deborah) Nobles of Bolivar, and Diane Stonemetz, at home; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Stonemetz and Ben Stonemetz, both of Shinglehouse; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral and committal services will be held Wednesday (March 19, 1980) at 1 p.m. Pastor John R. Thomas of Richburg First Day Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
