Final Rites Held For Claude Lunn
Claude Lunn, of Oswayo, died Sunday night, June 24, 1955, at the Olean General Hospital after a very brief illness. He was born August 11, 1895 at Oswayo, son of Fred and Frances Cameron Lunn, and he lived in that community all his life with the exception of a few years spent in Shinglehouse. He was foreman for the Aerovox Corporation in Olean and had been employed there for the past six years.
He was married to Viola Lunn in 1919. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Frances Lunn; two sisters; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Penner of Bolivar; four grandchildren; four brothers, Fred and Thomas Lunn of Olean, Pearl Lunn of Shinglehouse, and Grover Lunn of Smethport.
Funeral services were held at the home in Oswayo Wednesday afternoon with Rev. David Deck officiating. The body was taken to the Shinglehouse Free Methodist Church where Rev. Deck dedicated. Shinglehouse Post of the American Legion also had charge of the military rites.
Burial was in the Rathbun Cemetery of Coneville.
