Edd Ward Cutler, 74, of Shinglehouse, ,died Sunday
(June20, 1982), in Cole Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born March 22, 1908, at Wichita Falls, Kansas, he was a son of Freeman and, Viva
Jobnston Cutler. In 1935, he married the formerer Rocelia I Lawton, who Survives.
Mr. Cutler was a self employed mechanic, retiring in1970. He was an honorary member of the Shinglehouse Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Allegheny Mountain Gas Engine Association, a director of the Tioga County Early Days Association, and been a Potter County fire warden for several years.In addition to his widow heis survived by four daughters. Mrs. Bess Dickson, Tujunga, Calif., Miss Helen Cutler, Olean, N.Y., Mrs. Nellie Stone, Port Allegany, and Mrs. Edra Umbaugh, Cuba, N.Y.; four sons, Donald Cutler, Shinglehouse, Newton Cutler, Gasport, N.Y., David Cutler, Smethport, and Joel Cutler, Black Creek; 17grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three Sisters, Mrs. Mary Gee, Elma, N.Y., Mrs., Minnie Gleason and Mrs. Flora Densmore, both of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, where funeral and committal services were held today at 10:00a.m. with the Rev. Floyd Merriam,
Houghton, N.Y., officiating. Burial was in Raymond Cemetery.
