MILLPORT, Pa. - Charles (Todd) Kemp, 87, of Eleven Mile Road, died Wednesday (Oct. 13,
1982) in his home after a lengthy illness.
Born April 14, 1895, in Millport, he was a son of Charles and Carrie Sloat Kemp. In 1933,
in Coudersport, he married the former Gertrude Prince Packer, who survives.
Mr. Kemp was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chrystal.
Surviving besides his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Florence) Walker of Eldred,
and Mrs. George (Virginia) Ogilvie of Duke Center; two Sons, Charles Packer of Wellsville,
N.Y., and George Packer of Shinglehouse; 23 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and six
great-greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lyle (Nellie) Fay of Kane, and several nieces and
nephews.
Friends will received at Mr. Kemp's home beginning Friday, where a prayer service will be
held Sunday (Oct. 16, 1982) at 12:30 p.m. followed by funeral services in the United
Methodist Church of Chrystal at 1 p.m. The Rev. William McKechnie, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Chrystal Cemetery.
The Virgil Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, is in charge of arrangements.
