TROY D.HYDE
SHINGLEHOUSE Pa. - Troy
Hyde, 19, of the Eleven Mile
Road died Sunday (Oct. 25, 1992).
Born Dec. 9, 1972, in Wellsville,
N.Y., he was a son of Donald W.
and Patricia M. Pierce Hyde.
Mr. Hyde was a 1991 graduate
of Oswayo Valley High School and
the Seneca Highland Vo-Tech program, where he was an honor student in the automotive program.
He received numerous scholarships in the field of auto mechanics upon graduation.
He was employed by the Francis Carroll dairy farm in Shinglehouse and at the time of his death was employed by Ross Jones Logging of Shinglehouse.
He was an active member in 4-H from elementary school through high school, having received many awards for his accomplishments.
Mr. Hyde was an avid hunter,
fisherman and stock car enthusiast.
Surviving besides his parents of
Shinglehouse are two sisters, Mrs.
Michael (Michelle M.) Filer Jr. and
Mrs. Daniel (Tracia L.) Norton,
both of Shinglehouse; a brother,
Michael W. Hyde of Youngstown,
Ohio; paternal grandmother, Mrs.
Margaret L. Hyde of Shinglehouse; maternal grandmother,
Mrs. Gertrude E. Pierce of Shinglehouse; five nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call today from 7
to 9 p.m. at the Virgil L. Howard
Funeral Home, Shinglehouse,
where funeral and committal services will be held Wednesday (Oct.
28, 1992) at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph J. Olsen, pastor of St.
Theresa Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chrystal
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the Oswayo Valley
Memorial Library, P.O. Box 188,
Shinglehouse, Pa. 16748; Oswayo
Valley Rod and Gun Club, RD,
Shinglehouse; or the Library of
Congress Blind Association, Carnegie Library, 4724 Baum Blvd.,
