Mrs Ned Lawton

Mrs. Elsie Lawton, 79, of Shinglehouse died last Thursday, October 29, 1964, at the Olean Nursing Home where she had been a patient for five years.

She was born in Oswayo on April 11, 1885, a daughter of Willard and Mila Lawton Rhodes. She married Ned Lawton in 1907 who died in 1937.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Flossie Mazurkiewicz of Olean; two sons, Clifton and Kenneth Lawton of Kissimee, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 12 great grand children.

Funeral services were held a the Howard Funeral Home in Shinglehouse on Sunday afternoon. Rev George Snow, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
