Herbert Stonemetz


Herbert Stonemtez, 76, of Birdsall died Saturday, February 29, 1964, in Bethesda Hospital, Hornell, after a lengthy illness.

A native of Oswayo, Pa, Mr. Stonemetz had lived at Birdsall the past fifty years. He was employed as a tree trimmer by the New York State Forestry Service.

Born August 7, 1887, he was the son of Charles and Dolly Fox Stonemetz. He was married to the former Olive Kortz, who died about 15 years ago.

Surviving are on foster son, Raymond Stonemetz of Bristol, Conn., one brother, Claude of Buffalo, and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services were held in the Richard E. Burt Funeral Home, Angelica, Tuesday. The Rev. Allen S. Keiper, pastor of Angelica and Birdsall Methodist Churches, officiated and burial was in Rathbone Cemetery, Hebron, Pa.

He was employed as a tree trimmer by the New York Forestry Service.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from a funeral home in Angelica, with interment in Rathbone Cemetery at Coneville.
