BOLIVAR, NY - Virginia I. Edwards, 90, of Route 417 West passed away Monday (Jan. 10, 2011) at Jones Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 14, 1920, in Shinglehouse, PA, she was a daughter of Fred and Amy Wheeler Dickerson. On Jan. 20, 1937, in Shinglehouse, she married Herman H. Edwards, who predeceased her May 11, 2006. Virginia was a former employee of Acme Electric Corp. in Cuba, had owned and operated the Curiosity Shop in Bolivar and during World War II worked at the Munitions Plant in Eldred, PA. Surviving are two sons, Richard (Lois) Edwards of Wellsville and Robert (Lois) Edwards of Fort Mills, SC; three daughters, Sylvia Duguay, Diane Edwards and Bonnie (Richard) Lockwood all of Bolivar; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons, Harley Edwards in 1941, Herman Edwards in 1941 and Gary Edwards in 1958. There will be no public visitation. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in East Sharon (PA) Cemetery. Memorials to HomeCare & Hospice, 1225 W.
