SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. - Douglas a, Glogouski, 34, of Shinglehouse, PA, formerly of Geneva, OH, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 in his home after a long illness.

He was born on October 6, 1966 in Olean, NY, a son of Charles and Jeanette L. Day Glogouski, Jr., On October 3, 1987 in Cuba, he married the former Lynn M. Piechota who survives.

Mr. Glogouski attended school in Shinglehouse, Pa, Bolivar, NY and graduated from Wilmer-Huchins High School, Huchins, Texas. He attended Jamestown Community College, Olean and continued his education in the Air Force. He served in the US Air Force from 1991 to 1995, receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal.

Doug was employed by StarCraft Automotive in Goshen, Indiana, Aero Manufacturing in Syracuse, Indiana. He was later employed by Classic Interior Completions, Willoughby, Ohio. He returned to Shinglehouse in November 2000.

Mr. Glogouski was a member of the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Shinglehouse. He was an avid golfer and he was a member of Max Welton Country Club in Syracuse, Indiana.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Douglas A. Glogouski Jr., Jacob C. Glogouski, and Simon J. Glogouski, all at home; five brothers, Chuck A. (Jean) Glogouski of Rome, Ohio, Joseph M. (Jenny) Glogouski of Shinglehouse, PA, Mark H. (Chris) Glogouski of Millersburg, Indiana; one sister, Janet L. (Mike) Kinter of Shinglehouse, PA; his paternal grandmother, Ann Glogouski of Shinglehouse, PA; his maternal grandfather, Clifford A. Day of Little Genesee, NY and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Mass Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Shinglehouse, PA. The Rev. Samuel Slocum, pastor , was celebrant. Burial was in East Sharon Cemetery. Members of the Potter County Honor Guard accorded full military honors on Wednesday at the Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family of Mr. Douglas Glogouski, c/o Lynn Glogouski, 111 Walnut Street, Shinglehouse, PA 16748, to establish an education fund for his children.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
