Obituary: Peter J. Rotoli “beloved husband, father, & grandfather” Shinglehouse, PA—Peter J. Rotoli, 83, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Rochester, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2009 in his home after a long illness. Born September 27, 1926 in Rochester, NY, he was a son of George and Antoinette Rinaldi Rotoli. On January 27, 1968 in Rochester, he married Jacqueline A. “Jackie” Crossman, who survives. Mr. Rotoli was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Philippines and Japan during World War II. He was employed at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY until retiring in 1983. Mr. Rotoli was a resident of Rochester until moving to Shinglehouse in 1998. He was a member of the Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church in Shinglehouse. Surviving besides his wife are four children: Mary K. (Doug) Bell and Bethany S. Rotoli, both of Shinglehouse, PA, Thomas M. (Macrina) Kirby of Middleburg, FL, and James A. Kirby of Rochester, NY; seven grandchildren, Charlie (Stacie) Ross, T.J. (Lena) Ross, Peter (Jennifer) Ross, Thomas Kirby II, Joe Bell, Madisyn Bell, and Travis Bell; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan Ross, Cynthia Ross, Eric Ross, Erin Ross, Christopher Ross, Thomas Kirby III, Sarah Bennett, Devon Carr and Rayce Carr; three sisters: Mary Inclena, Ida DeSano, Angie (Jack) Freda; a son-in-law, Tony (Cathy) Ross; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rotoli was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Ross; three granddaughters, April Carr, Annette Ross, and Traci Kirby; and three brothers, Anthony Rotoli, Armond Rotoli, and George Rotoli and a sister, Theresa Perrone. There will be no public visitation. Burial and committal services were held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Roger N. Hain, pastor of Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church, and the Rev. Thomas Isaacson, Assistant Pastor of Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church, officiated. A memorial service will be held at Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church on a date and time to be announced. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church Missions Fund, 392 Coon Crossing Road, Shinglehouse, PA 16748. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
