Fred W. Kemp Dies Unexpectedly At Home

Fred W. Kemp, a resident of the Plank Road for the past 60 years, passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, Nov. 29, 1952. Mr. Kemp was born at Andover, N. Y., December 8, 1871, the son of William and Melissa Thurston Kemp. All of his life had been spent in this locality where he had engaged in farming. He was a member of Sharon Grange, No. 1247, Shinglehouse.
Mr. Kemp was married to Laura Wheeler on March 22, 1894, at Alma , N. Y. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Paul Jackson, Shinglehouse; one brother, Eugene Kemp,Houghton Lake, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Knapp and Mrs. Harold Cook, Houghton Lake, Mich.; and Mrs. Orville Perry, Shinglehouse; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The body was removed to McLaughlin's Home for Funeruals where friends called and where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, The Rev. Roland GraY Jr.,pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church officiated. Burial was in East Sharon Cemetery.
