Lola M. Fosmer “beloved mother and grandmother”

Millport, PA---Lola M. Fosmer, 81, of Millport, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 in Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA, after a short illness.

Born October 29, 1928 in Millport, she was a daughter of Ernest G. and Sarah J. Stephenson Chapman. On August 19, 1950 in Millport, she married Paul F. Fosmer, who died on June 21, 2009.

She was a graduate of Shinglehouse High School, class of 1946.

Mrs. Fosmer was a member of the Millport United Methodist Church and a member of the Millport Women’s Circle. She was known throughout the area for baking cakes for all occasions. She enjoyed needlework.

Surviving are a son, P. Victor (Jackie) Fosmer of Clara; a daughter, Nola Jean (Philip) Estes of Shinglehouse; five grandchildren, Joshua A. Estes, Steven P. Estes, Kylene J. (Nathan) Robinson, Cheylan S. Fosmer and Garrett J. Fosmer; a brother, William G. (Esther) Chapman of Hernando, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fosmer was predeceased by her parents and husband.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Daniel P. Grimes, pastor of the Millport United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Fred Kemp, pastor of the Portville Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Clara Cemetery.
