Cyrenius Perry died very suddenly Thursday about one o'clock while sitting at the table eating his dinner at the home of his son, John in Ceres Township. Heart failure was the cause of death.
The subject of this sketch was born in Alfred, N.Y. on Jan. 25, 1850, and lived there part of his life. He was united in marriage to Miss Flora Corwin 49 years ago, and she preceded him to the grave by 5 years. He was a good citizen, a kind and loving husband and father. The greater part of his life was spent in farming and teaming on the oil and gas leases.
He is survived by two children, Mrs. Charles Sherwood of this boro and John Perry of Ceres Township, three grandchildren, Elouise Perry and Zella and Beatrice Sherwood, Also a nephew , George Corwin, who made his home with them since very young, and his uncle Hornell.
The funeral was held at his home in this boro Sunday at two o'clock, Elder G.P. Kenyon officiating. The burial was made in the family lot in Maple Grove cemetery. The bearers were E. T. McDowell, Truman Turner, Will Wood, Herb McGregor, George Kenyon and John Mix. -- Shinglehouse Mail.
